Booking Terms for Mykonos TownHouse
1. Operator and terms
Elegant Hotel Collection Limited (EHC) whose registered office is at 15 Newland, Lincoln LN1 1XG is the operator of Mykonos TownHouse.
Please note that your payment will be processed by HotelREZ Limited (of the same address) who act as EHC’s agent for the purpose of payment processing.
These are the terms which apply when you apply to make a reservation at Mykonos TownHouse.
Different terms will apply to reservations at all other EHC hotels; these terms will normally be found on the booking page of the hotel in question.
2. Your reservation
We will require your credit or debit card details to secure your reservation. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and any other cards mentioned on the payment facility. Please carefully check the details of your reservation before confirming.
We will confirm your reservation by sending an email to the email address you gave us when making your reservation. No contract will exist between us until you receive this email.
Please note that your reservation is not transferable. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation and/or services to any person who is not named in the original reservation.
You must be at least 18 to make a reservation.
3. Price and payment
The price you will pay will be the price quoted to you when you make your reservation. This will be confirmed in the confirmation email.
The price will include VAT at the then-current rate. If the rate of VAT changes, we will be obliged to charge the new rate on any sums which you have not paid before the change comes into effect.
The time when payment must be made depends on the room rate plan you have selected. This will be set out in the booking information you are provided with at the time before you book.
Please note that local tourist taxes must be paid at the hotel on or before your departure. We are able to accept cash for sums up to Euro 100 but will require payment by credit or debit card for sums in excess of Euro 100.
Food and drink purchased at Mykonos TownHouse and its sister bar, @54, can be charged to your room and settled on or before your departure provided that you have let us have your credit card details with pre-authorisation of a sufficient amount.
We reserve the right to require credit card pre-authorisation for any expenses you may incur or damage you may cause during your stay with us and/or ask you to settle your bill at any time during your stay.
4. Your stay
On arrival at Mykonos TownHouse, you may be asked to provide certain information, such as proof of identity and passport details. This information will be processed in accordance with our privacy policy.
The maximum occupancy of your room is the number of persons identified in the information provided when you book. You must not exceed this number.
Your room will be available from 3pm on the day of your arrival and latest check-out is 12pm on the day of your departure. Please let us know if you would like to make other arrangements and we will endeavour to assist.
Please let us know if your arrival will be after 9pm.
5. Accessibility
Mykonos TownHouse is located in a historically sensitive area where local regulations limit development and access to the hotel is extremely restricted. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee that the hotel will be suitable for people with disabilities. If you are in any doubt as to the suitability of Mykonos TownHouse for you or any member of your party, please contact us before booking and we will be pleased to provide advice.
6. Cancellation and changes to your reservation by you
If you cancel your reservation, we will refund you:
- 100% – if you cancel more than 14 days before the first day of your stay;
- If you cancel 14 days or less before the first day of your stay, we will not be able to make any refund.
You should consider taking out appropriate insurance to cover this eventuality.
If you wish to make minor changes to your reservation, please contact us and we will endeavour to assist.
7. Cancellation by us
We reserve the right to cancel your reservation by giving you written notice (including by email):
- if you fail to make payment when required by these Terms to do so; or
- if you break the contract between us in any way.
We may also cancel your reservation if an event outside our control (such as fire, flood, utility failure or emergency evacuation) means that we are unable to make your room available for you. If this happens, we will notify you as soon as possible and refund in full all sums you have paid to us. Refunds will be made to the same card as was used for payment. However, except for any statutory rights which we are unable to exclude or restrict, we will have no further liability to you in these circumstances.
8. Your behaviour
You and your party are requested to conduct yourselves appropriately at all times and to comply with our procedures and/or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the property of the hotel, its employees and guests, and their health and safety. You and your party are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the smooth running of the hotel, or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff.
Please do not smoke anywhere in the hotel. This includes e-cigarettes.
You and your party must not use internet access provided by us to access or download any unlawful or obscene materials, or any materials likely to give offence.
We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or to remove you and/or members of your party from the hotel if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.
9. Our liability
We will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the hotel other than as required by applicable law.
We will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss, or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity, however caused (including by our negligence).
Unless prohibited by applicable law, our total liability shall not exceed the value of the charges we receive from you in respect of this reservation.
We will not be liable to you for any failure, loss or breach arising out of events beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing contained in these Terms shall be read or construed as excluding or restricting any liability which may not be excluded or restricted by applicable law or from affecting any rights which you have as a consumer.
10. Your information
We will keep your personal data safe and secure. Details of how we will handle your data is set out in our privacy policy.
11. Legal terms
English law will apply to these terms (including their subject matter and formation) and your reservation.
The English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
